After the Great War had ended, a decision was made by the Terran government to begin colonizing the moon. The project would be called Selene . This was decided upon by the heads of the government as a fail-safe if there was ever another Collision. There were many rumors that another potential Collision was to happen in the near future from New Asian scientists who noticed some movement in the Earth's plates
All nations had worked together on this project as they would plan to send 200 volunteers from each nation to begin the colonization of the moon. There was a lot of controversy with this idea as the groups the government planned to send were made up of 90% of people below the age of 18. Regardless of the many people who were against it, it still happened after weeks of riots.
On September 21st of 5008 the spacecraft, nicknamed Haji, had set off into the journey towards the moon where the colonization would begin. Contractors, farmers, and many other professionals in their respective fields would all be packed into the vessel to hep begin building. The plan had worked perfectly as now the moon is a striving location for intergalactic trade and simple living for those who inhabit the land. With an artificial atmosphere, it's almost like a seconds Earth. Unlike Terra, resources on the moon are fairly scarce but with frequent, monthly supply drops and expansions from their initial landing spot – the Terrans of the moon are doing fine.
The landscape had expanded greatly in twenty years, coming into its own as intergalactic visits brought business and the moon soon flourished as people used the location to escape and let loose as clubs and casinos took the reigns as the main source of income. Among red light districts and spectacular hotels, Terra Luna began to be a land of attraction, resembling what Las Vegas was in the old millenniums as even the crime scene was similar.
It was evident that the crime scene would explode, the area being a hot-spot for things like trafficking, murder, and anything in the book, it was hard to contain for the Terra government but efforts are made, nonetheless. As opposed to the biggest boom in the beginning of the wave of crime in the 5100's, whee criminal syndicates took government and drugs came in the cargo load, it's drastically died down but has said to be a big issue behind the scenes as criminals have taken to underground, underhanded tactics. Such a place looked nice on the surface as it hid many dark secrets despite it still being a paradise.
