Is Eating a Hybrid Cannibalism?

This recent questions has sent Terrans into a frenzy. What started as a silly little question for laughs, ended in yelling and arguments. While some say that it would not be cannibalism due to the fact that humans and hybrids are different species, others argue that they are usually at least fifty percent human. That being said, if a human were to kill and eat a hybrid, they would still be eating part of a human. A question recently asked makes a good point about this issue. "If a mermaid ate a fish, would it be cannibalism?" Most will say "yes" to this question, but "no" to the same one applied to hybrids and humans. Cannibalism by definition is the usually ritualistic eating of human flesh by a human being. We can safely say that approximately 75% of the hybrids in Terra are mostly human, other than their ears, tail, and other small features. However, some argue that since hybrids are not considered fully human, it would not count. "Even though he[a hybrid] can walk, talk, has human skin, human hair- eating him is eating an animal and not another human?" This question was made in defense of the hybrid species. Some argue that because "They are specifically half human", then it would definitely count as cannibalism. Others say that it is not a human eating human flesh, but a human eating half human flesh. "What if [a hybrid] had a cow body and a human head but [someone] really wanted some steak? "Symphony argued that they would still be able to talk and walk on two legs, so how would it be different than other hybrids? Could one argue that it would only be considered cannibalism if they ate the human flesh of the hybrid? Would it not be cannibalism if they only ate the animal portion of the hybrid? Or would it be considered something different because they are different species? This question remains unanswered, and no one is sure if Terrans will ever come to an agreement.
